Overall Objective of Role:
The purpose of the role is to conduct forensic investigations of marine casualties and associated incidents globally, either independently or as part of a wider team.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations and assessments related to fuel matters
  • Perform on-site surveys regarding fuel issues
  • Attend laboratory tests concerning fuel analysis
  • Prepare letters and reports detailing findings from investigations or attendances
  • Provide expert evidence in court/arbitration related to written expert testimony
  • Offer advice/support to clients on fuel-related issues
  • Adhere to company operating procedures
  • Participate in marketing activities
  • Contribute to business development initiatives related to the discipline and group
  • Undertake any other ad hoc duties aligned with individual capabilities
Person Specification:
  • MSc degree or higher in a scientific discipline (BSc considered with sufficient relevant experience)
  • Sea-going or relevant industry experience
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with strong attention to detail
  • Approachable and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel globally at short notice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
