We are currently engaged to hire a competent Fleet Manager in Singapore for an established shipping conglomerate as part of their plans to build up a ship management team in Singapore.
To be considered, you will need to have sailed up to a Chief Engineer and has at least 2 years of experience in the capacity of a Fleet Manager. Proven leadership experience in managing a team across technical, marine, HSEQ, crewing and purchasing functions. You should also come with strong hands on experience and knowledge on geared bulk carriers and ME-C engines.
You will support the management in setting up of the ship management team, which will include developing and implementing SOPs, as well as being involved in hiring for the ship management team. Plan and oversee the taking over of vessels to be managed in-house from 3rd party ship managers. Monitoring expenditure and managing budget. Act as the key technical/engineering expert to the management on all ship management matters.
