Job Description

This is a critical position with a global shipping organization to ensure top quality fleet management, driving vessel performance and talent development.

This role will suit a hands-on and self-motivated leader, who possess excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to drive changes and improvement. Prior sea service experience up to Captain or Chief Engineer, with relevant experience in running a ship management function in a senior managerial role. Well exposed to the tanker and bulk carrier market. Commercially sound and updated with prevailing MLC compliance, maritime regulations and requirements.

Overseeing the daily operations of the ship management office, providing leadership and guidance to the team. Identify, suggest and drive digital transformations or process optimization to further improve workplace efficiency. Delegation of tasks and resolving internal issues. Monitor and work closely with team and finance department to ensure the fleet is operating within healthy budget and controlled expenditure. Identifying talents and recommend for development and promotions. Reporting finance and status updates to management as required.
