Faststream has entered into a partnership with the A&P Group, a globally recognised ship repair & conversion specialist, to assist them in attracting the very best talent for their yards in the North East of the UK, Tyne & Tees.
For the Tyne yard, we are in search of an Estimator to provide estimates for all types of vessels based on labor hours, materials and subcontractor values from specifications and drawings. The Estimator will evaluate the commercial value and technical compliance of subcontractor quotations and promote change and improvement within the department to provide the best possible service to other departments of the company and also to their customers and suppliers.
We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in the estimating of ship repair or marine fabrication works with exceptional attention to detail and financial awareness. As an Estimator you should possess strong communication & interpersonal skills and have a natural ability for problem solving in a targeted environment.
