The Offer
Faststream is recruiting on behalf of a leading marine services provider for the role of Functional Application Specialist based in the Netherlands. This position offers an attractive compensation package of €5,500 gross per month, paid 13 times a year. Employees benefit from a flexible work schedule with 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office per week.
Further benefits include a €300 gross annual allowance and discounts for healthcare insurance with CZ, daily fresh fruit and free lunch, and access to a fitness center in the building. Moreover, the Work Anywhere Policy allows employees to work from any location for 2 weeks per year, which can be combined with 3 weeks of holidays for a total of 5 weeks.

The Job
As a Functional Application Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the ERP system Dynamics AX across the global organization. Your role involves providing hands-on support for Dynamics AX and related applications, understanding and planning tasks to meet stakeholder needs accurately and timely, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and work procedures. You will plan your work to allow adequate time for feedback and adjustments, collaborate with colleagues on business applications, and identify and address potential issues proactively. Thorough self-checks of solutions before release and clear communication and documentation of solutions are essential aspects of this role.
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you must have experience with Dynamics AX applications, with experience in other ERP systems being a plus. You should have 2-5 years of application management experience and a higher professional education, preferably in Finance or IT. A general understanding of IT infrastructure and software development is required. Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and the ability to provide training, write instructions, and speak publicly are crucial. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, along with strong social skills, customer service focus, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
