The Dry Docking Superintendent will oversee the execution of dry docking projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, project quality, timelines, and budgets. This role involves close collaboration with technical crews, project superintendents, and OEM representatives to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage dry docking projects, focusing on safety, quality, timing, and budget as per directives from the Technical Director and company CEO.
- Safety and Compliance: Implement and monitor safety protocols, ensuring all activities comply with the highest safety standards.
- Coordination and Supervision: Oversee the definition and approval of steel work, deck equipment renewal and repair, paint application, electrical and automation systems, and mechanical machinery work. Liaise with relevant crew members (CO, ETO, CE) and OEM representatives to ensure all work meets project specifications and standards.
- Retrofit Projects: Coordinate additional retrofit projects, ensuring timely execution alongside statutory dry docking activities in collaboration with the Berge Bulk project superintendent.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the maritime industry.
- Strong understanding of dry docking processes, safety standards, and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to be based in China for a minimum of 12 months.
