A shipmanagement firm is looking to set-up an office presence in Singapore. It is headquartered in Germany and is planning to onboard a new DPA/CSO.
• Fulfil the role of both DPA (Designated Person Ashore) and CSO (Company Security Officer) by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, laws and codes.
• Be the point of entry for any internal & external questions and therefore be the main source of developments in the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) as well as security sector(s).
• Provide a link between the vessels and the Managing Director of the company and be directly reporting to the Management.
• As DPA be part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
• Act as Dangerous Good Advisor (DGA) for the Singapore based entities.
• Be responsible for the Safety Management System (SMS), its content, introduction and training as well as ensuring global alignment among the systems.
• Arrange and conduct internal audits and ensure possible corrective actions.
