This is a focused role responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of dockings for the fleet of owned vessels. The position will be based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
The suitable candidate would preferably be a Marine Engineer with the relevant experience in planning, budgeting and executing dockings. Applicants without the sailing experience but possess substantial docking experience can be considered.
You will plan and oversee the docking for the company's owned fleet of up to 25 vessels, consisting of dry cargo vessels, tugs and barges. Coordinating closely with the ship management team to work out best schedules for docking. Contacting yards within Papua New Guinea (or outside) to request for quotes and negotiate for best price. Planning docking specifications, spares requirements and costs estimates. Liaising with Class, close supervision of docking projects and providing technical guidance to the crew to ensure timely completion.
