The Opportunity:
The Deputy Head of Training position offers a dynamic and diverse range of responsibilities within the maritime sector. This pivotal role encompasses managing the daily operations of our flagship cadet training program and conducting thorough internal and external audits of our organization’s quality management system. The role consists of frequent travel, providing the opportunity to deepen your understanding of maritime training practices globally and to contribute to the enhancement of seafarers’ skills through various training initiatives.
Your Role:
- Supporting the Head of Training with financial management, including internal and external audits with our team in the Philippines.
- Representing the organisation on applicable industry bodies/projects/initiatives.
- Management of the organisations Quality Management System (QMS)
- Working in collaboration with the Head of Training to oversee as well as implementing new training initiatives.
- Minimum OOW sea time experience as a Deck or Engine Officer.
- Active or recent sailing experience preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of maritime training.
- Auditing and Compliance.
- Data Management and Analysis
