The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts for work, materials and services in line with company procurement policies and project requirements. You will ensure delivery, cost, quantity, and quality targets are met, while contributing to the development of effective contracting and procurement strategies.
This is a key role requiring a strong understanding of commercial and contractual frameworks, negotiation expertise, and the ability to manage complex procurement activities in a fast-paced, international energy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of contracting in coordination with Contract Holders and other relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and develop the contractual and commercial sections of tender packages, ensuring full compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Draft and review contract documentation, including scopes of work, tender strategies, and evaluation plans.
- Conduct tender evaluations, negotiate complex contractual terms and conditions, and finalise contract awards.
- Develop innovative contracting approaches such as risk/reward models, incentive-based contracts, and alliance frameworks.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in the “E-Space” system for all ITTs,
- Support approval processes in line with Joint Operating Agreements (JOA) and Project Procurement Procedures.
- Degree in Law, Engineering, or Economics is preferred.
- CIPS qualification or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
- Experience in a similar role within the oil and gas sector. (EPC, or other large industries will be considered)
- Familiarity with international contract formats and complex corporate or project governance.
- Knowledge of commodity markets and price trends, including materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Fluent verbal and written English; Arabic fluency is an advantage.
- Prior experience with SAP MM and SRM modules is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
