Faststream is recruiting for a Commercial Manager for a well-known, reputable ship-owning company based in the UAE. With the company's growth in the market comes internal expansion, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively through regular client meetings to review performance and discuss new opportunities.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of detailed tenders and proposals, ensuring all submissions are competitive, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and improve profitability, while monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry regulations, and manage contract variations, claims, and disputes.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, aiming to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Manage contract variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring all are accurately documented and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development of pricing strategies and financial models to support commercial proposals and negotiations.
  • Ensure all invoices and financial documentation related to contracts are correctly prepared and verified before submission.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of commercial projects, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Required Competencies:
  • Proven experience in commercial management roles, preferably in the marine industry.
  • Strong understanding of tendering processes, contract management, and client relations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Certification in Contract Management or related fields is an advantage.
