Now, they are sharpening their commercial focus on data and intelligence with a dedicated Risk Analytics division, and we’re on the lookout for someone who can lead the charge.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Risk Analytics Commercial Director, a commercially savvy, strategy-led leader who’s confident building a book of business around data-driven risk solutions in the maritime space.
You’ll be the linchpin between risk insight and revenue, owning sales strategy, developing new partnerships, and driving meaningful growth. You’ll work closely with our MD of Risk Analytics & Loss Prevention, helping shape how we scale up and deliver impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and lead the commercial roadmap for risk analytics, this one’s yours to run with
- Identify new business opportunities across the maritime value chain, from owners and operators to insurers and offshore clients
- Have meaningful conversations with clients to understand their risk posture and offer solutions that make a difference
- Own the sales targets
- Forge partnerships and alliances to expand Ambrey’s market presence and deepen our service offering
- Keep a finger on the pulse, track market trends, competitor moves, and tech developments
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure delivery is aligned with what clients actually need
- Build a high-performing sales team as the business grows, set the tone, lead from the front
- You’ve got a solid background in business development or commercial leadership within maritime, insurance, risk, or data analytics
- Deep understanding of risk analytics, intelligence, or maritime risk management
- A confident communicator who can build relationships, spot opportunities, and seal the deal
- Comfortable creating and executing sales strategies from scratch
- Someone who enjoys making sense of complex information and translating that into commercial wins
- Leadership experience is a big plus, we’re building a team, not just filling a role
- CRM and sales tools are second nature to you
