We’re working with a leading maritime organisation operating within the global offshore energy industry, who are seeking a Commercial Executive to join their dynamic offshore division. You’ll support chartering activities across a diverse fleet of CTV, CSOV, and ECV vessels, coordinating between brokers, charterers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless commercial execution. You’ll maintain vessel schedules, manage contracts, and play a proactive role in developing new business opportunities, helping to maximise vessel utilisation and strengthen long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily chartering activities across offshore fleet, including spot and term charters.
- Liaise with brokers, charterers, and internal stakeholders to support charter negotiations and manage follow-ups.
- Maintain and update vessel schedules, utilisation, and availability records.
- Prepare, review, and monitor charter party contracts, amendments, and associated documentation.
- Collaborate with operations and legal teams to ensure charter compliance and smooth execution.
- Support the Head of Commercial with commercial administration, tender preparation, and business development initiatives.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activity.
- Build and maintain strong client and broker relationships, helping to drive new business and repeat charter opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of long-term CTV contract strategies and fleet utilisation improvements.
- Represent them in meetings and industry events as required.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in shipping, chartering, or offshore energy is desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent organisational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Understanding of BIMCO charter parties and offshore vessel operations advantageous.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently within a small team environment.
- A network in the offshore or maritime industry is beneficial but not essential.
