UK Business Development Manager – Freight & Logistics

Faststream is working exclusively with a leading freight and logistics provider, seeking a Business Development Manager to join their commercial team in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven sales professional with strong experience in freight, transport, or supply chain services to play a key role in expanding the customer base and driving revenue.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across the UK freight market
  • Managing and growing a portfolio of key client accounts
  • Meeting and exceeding volume and revenue targets
  • Conducting cold calls, prospecting, and face-to-face client visits (minimum 25 visits per month)
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy
  • Ensuring CRM data (Salesforce) and all commercial admin is kept up to date
  • Collaborating with internal teams to align sales activities with wider commercial goals
About You
  • Proven track record in business development within freight, logistics, or related transport sectors
  • Strong commercial acumen and confident in pricing negotiations
  • Skilled in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Highly motivated, target-driven, and proactive
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Able to travel across the UK for client meetings and events
  • Must be a UK citizen or hold a BRP or similar (Sponsorship not available)
