A Globally renowned Ship Management organization that provides exceptional services to ship owners and managers across the World is looking to hire a Business Development Manager for their Singapore office.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Monitors companies business development strategies, objectives, targets, and measurable KPIs with diligence.
  • Collaborates closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to contribute to the annual Business Development Plan.
  • Cultivates business opportunities by leveraging well-established contacts in the shipping market.
  • Identifies potential opportunities through meticulous research of industry events, publications, announcements, and maintains accurate records of customer and prospect data.
  • Keeps abreast of competitor companies, their developments, and gathers valuable market intelligence.
  • Initiates and proposes potential business deals by proactively reaching out to potential clients and exploring opportunities.
  • Gathers marketing intelligence for the preparation of comprehensive service offers.
  • Coordinates management offers/tenders for prospective clients in close partnership with the CCO and Managing Director, presenting them during client visits when necessary.
  • Actively participates in conferences and exhibitions to explore networking possibilities.
  • Cultivates and sustains close relationships with existing clients through periodic visits and as instructed by the Management.
  • Monitors and diligently follows up on offers/tenders provided to clients, responding to customer requests/inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  
Qualifications & Experience
  • Holds a University Degree in a relevant commercial or business subject.
  • Brings 5 years of experience in a commercial role within a B2B environment, with a preference for experience in the marine or oil & gas sector.
  • Demonstrates outstanding proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Possesses computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
