Faststream Recruitment Group is partnering with our client, a leading global logistics and supply chain specialist, to appoint a Business Development Manager.
 
This newly created position is designed to spearhead growth across priority sectors, including metals and soft commodities, as well as other niche commodity markets in Asia. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of the company's regional development, with a particular focus on specialised logistics and warehousing solutions.
 
Based in Korea, Singapore, or Hong Kong, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with global and regional teams across sales, operations, and strategy. This is a hands-on and entrepreneurial role for a commercially driven professional who can build strong relationships, generate opportunities, and convert them into long-term value.
 
Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive business development initiatives across metals, soft commodities, and other niche sectors in Asia.
  2. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in specialised logistics and warehousing.
  3. Develop and maintain strong client relationships with trading houses, producers, manufacturers, and financial institutions.
  4. Work closely with regional and global colleagues to align business strategies and deliver integrated solutions.
  5. Monitor market trends and competitive developments to identify growth opportunities.
  6. Support the Regional Managing Director in shaping and executing the regional commercial strategy.
Requirements
  1. Proven track record in business development, sales, or commercial roles within logistics, shipping, supply chain, or commodities.
  2. Strong knowledge of the commodities sector (metals and soft commodities preferred).
  3. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to initiate and close business opportunities.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation ability, and results-driven mindset.
  6. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with regional and global teams.
  7. Based in Korea, Singapore, or Hong Kong, with flexibility to travel regionally.
