Job Description

A leading international marine fuel and shipping services provider, headquartered in Europe and operating across key global maritime hubs—including offices in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East—is seeking an experienced Bunker Trader to join their growing Singapore-based team.

As a Bunker Trader, you’ll be a crucial part of our commercial trading team, focusing on sourcing and delivering competitive marine fuel solutions for a wide range of global clients. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working closely with stakeholders in a high-energy, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying new client opportunities worldwide.
  • Manage the full bunker trading process—from initial inquiry through delivery and post-deal operations, including payment follow-up.
  • Execute trades that provide value to both clients and the company, maintaining transparency and profitability.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and market conditions affecting global bunker trading.
  • Leverage an established network in Asia to generate sales through personal connections with ship owners, charterers, and suppliers.
  • Identify new market opportunities and actively contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively across a culturally diverse internal and external network.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in marine fuel trading or bunker sales, ideally with a strong track record in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Education: University degree in Business, Shipping, or related field.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Mandarin in order to deal with International clients; additional languages are a plus.
  • Network: Well-connected in the regional maritime industry, with the ability to convert relationships into long-term clients.
  • Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Mindset: Proactive, entrepreneurial, and results-driven. Comfortable with cold-calling and prospecting.
  • Team Fit: Cooperative, culturally adaptable, and committed to contributing to team goals in a fast-paced setting.
Join a dynamic global company where your drive and industry knowledge will directly impact success.

If you’re motivated by growth, autonomy, and working with top-tier shipping professionals, we’d love to hear from you.
