Key Responsibilities
  • Market Development: Establish and nurture relationships with oil majors and key stakeholders in the Middle East’s maritime and energy sectors.
  • Trading Leadership: Oversee and execute complex bunker fuel trades, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery while managing risk effectively.
  • Team Building: Lay the foundation for the Dubai office, recruiting, mentoring, and leading a team of bunker traders to drive growth.
  • Market Analysis: Provide clients with insights on bunker fuel markets, including pricing trends, supply availability, and regulatory developments (e.g., IMO 2020).
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at regional and global industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance market presence.
  • Compliance: Ensure all trading activities and contracts comply with international maritime and trade regulations, including MARPOL and local standards.
Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced Bunker Trader Manager with a proven track record in marine fuel trading and a passion for the energy and maritime industries. Key qualifications include:
  • Experience: 5+ years in bunker trading, with expertise in marine fuels. Established relationships with oil majors are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and networking abilities, with a commercial mindset and strong risk management expertise.
  • Leadership: Vision to establish and grow a new office, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a trading team.
