In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of oil and gas across large fleet of tankers. You must have experience with Tanker Management and Self-Assessment (TMSA) and be able to use your expertise to assess the performance of vessels and ensure they meet all safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct vessel inspections and assessments using TMSA guidelines
- Collaborate with ship owners and operators to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Develop and implement vetting procedures and guidelines
- Maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate potential risks
- Provide recommendations for vessel suitability and compliance
- Experience sailing as Chief Mate or Master
- At least 3 years of experience in vetting
- Expertise in industry regulations and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
