Vessel Superintendent (Engineering)
Location: Aberdeen.

Are you an experienced Chief Engineer ready to take the next step in your shore-based career? We are working with a market-leading offshore ship management company, currently seeking a Vessel Superintendent (Engineering) to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen.

As a key member of the technical management team, you will take ownership of the engineering performance, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of a fleet of offshore vessels. You will be the technical point of contact, ensuring vessels remain operationally efficient, safe, and fully compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day engineering operations and maintenance of assigned offshore vessels.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance, dry-dockings, and repair schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure vessels comply with all safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to shipboard teams, acting as a key liaison between vessel and shore.
  • Monitor performance and implement cost-effective engineering solutions to optimize fleet efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Chief Engineer CoC with experience sailing on offshore vessels.
  • Prior experience as a Technical Superintendent, Vessel Superintendent, or Vessel Manager (Engineering) in the offshore sector.
  • Strong understanding of class, flag, and statutory requirements for offshore vessels.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple vessels simultaneously.
