Our client is a leading player in the maritime industry, with a mixed fleet including LNG carriers. They are dedicated to providing safe, efficient, and sustainable shipping solutions. As part of the company's commitment to excellence, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vessel Manager to join the team in Norway.
  
As the Vessel Manager - LNG, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational and technical aspects of the LNG fleet. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient performance of the vessels, managing day-to-day operations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to uphold the high standards of quality and safety.
  
Key Responsibilities:

Vessel Operations:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the LNG fleet, ensuring compliance with international regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinate and optimise vessel schedules, including port calls, bunkering, and cargo operations.  

Technical Management:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the vessels are maintained in optimal condition, addressing any technical issues promptly.
  • Monitor and manage dry-dockings, repairs, and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime.  

Safety and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and promoting a strong safety culture among the crew and staff.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and proactively implement changes to maintain compliance.
  
Stakeholder Collaboration:


  • Liaise with charterers, port authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, fostering a collaborative and proactive approach.
  

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, within the LNG shipping industry.
- In-depth knowledge of LNG vessel operations, technical management, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry software and tools.
- Open and collaborative mindset with the motivation to be part of a team that prides itself on working in close collaboration with each other
