About the Role
As a Superintendent, you will be at the heart of this company's technical and operational success. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will ensure the technical and operational availability of the ships under your care. Your role will involve close collaboration with ship crews to complete both preventive and corrective maintenance. You will meticulously prepare, plan, and oversee technical stops on-site, ensuring optimal fleet performance.

Managing the budget for each ship will be a key responsibility, along with ensuring the proper use and functioning of the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Conducting regular audits, you will ensure that all ships under your care meet stringent deadlines and requirements.

Safety is paramount. You will play a crucial role in implementing the Safety Management System (SMS) and ensuring strict adherence to safety rules during visits to bases or ships. Additionally, you will provide specific training as needed to uphold safety standards.

Your communication skills will be essential as you serve as the primary liaison between the company, Maritime Affairs, and the Classification Society. Your expertise will be invaluable in new ship construction projects, refits, or the integration of new units into the fleet.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a solid background as a former merchant marine sailor, well-versed in offshore maritime service activities. Ideally, you will bring at least five years of experience in a similar role.

Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, writing) is essential, along with excellent French communication skills.

The ideal candidate will possess qualities of organization, rigour, responsiveness, and dynamism. You should be adept at communication, adaptable, versatile, and capable of working autonomously. Your ability to coordinate, unite, and lead teams will be critical to your success in this role.
