Technical Purchaser
This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of assigned vessels by managing procurement and logistics processes. The position plays a key part in maintaining vessel performance, supporting superintendents, and safeguarding safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle purchase requests from vessels, sending RFQs and obtaining quotations.
  • Evaluate prices in the purchasing system and seek approvals.
  • Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, and vessels.
  • Manage invoices, resolve discrepancies, and liaise with accounts.
  • Support day-to-day vessel operations and dry-docking activities.
  • Ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of ship spares and stores worldwide.
  • Maintain compliance with company regulations and industry best practices.
Profile Requirements
  • Graduate, preferably in mechanical engineering.
  • 4–5 years of experience in maritime purchasing and global logistics.
  • Strong skills in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Ability to work independently with a strategic mindset.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
