Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to understand procurement needs for vessel maintenance and operations.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality procurement of technical equipment, spare parts, and supplies.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, evaluating performance and ensuring adherence to contractual agreements.
- Manage inventory levels, optimizing stock levels to support vessel operations while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to inform strategic purchasing decisions.
- Proven experience as a Technical Purchaser in the maritime or shipping industry.
- In-depth knowledge of technical equipment, spare parts, and procurement processes within the maritime context.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
