I am working with an offshore engineering consultancy who specialise in providing innovative and high-quality solutions for the offshore energy, marine, and infrastructure industries. With a commitment to delivering complex engineering projects with precision, they are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join their team in London. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer eager to develop expertise in designing and analysing offshore structures, including FPSO mooring systems, offshore wind installations, and renewable energy platforms.
The Role-
- Perform detailed structural analyses for FPSO topsides, hulls, and mooring systems using ANSYS and STAAD.
 - Design and assess offshore wind structures, wave energy devices, and other renewable energy systems.
 - Create 3D finite element models (FEM) for complex marine structures.
 - Simulate and evaluate the effects of dynamic loads, such as wind, wave, and current forces.
 - Ensure designs meet relevant offshore codes and standards (e.g., DNV, ABS, ISO, API).
 - Prepare documentation, calculations, and reports for client review and certification.
 - Stay updated on advancements in offshore engineering practices, tools, and technologies.
 - Support senior engineers in developing innovative solutions for project challenges.

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, or Marine Engineering (or related field).
 - Proficiency in structural analysis software, particularly ANSYS and STAAD.
 - Understanding of offshore engineering principles, including hydrodynamic and environmental loads.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Previous internship or work experience in the offshore oil & gas or renewable energy sectors.
 - 1 or 2 years experience within the field.
 - Familiarity with design codes such as DNV GL, API RP 2A, and Eurocode.
 - Basic knowledge of Python or MATLAB for engineering applications.
