Faststream Recruitment is working with a leading international shipyard representation firm to identify an experienced and driven Shipyard Repair & Conversions Broker to join their growing Athens team.

This is a key commercial position focused on developing relationships with ship owners and managers across the region, promoting high-quality repair and conversion facilities, and securing new business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities Client Development & Representation
  • Act as the primary point of contact for ship repair and conversion enquiries from shipowners and managers.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients across Greece and surrounding regions.
  • Represent partner shipyards by showcasing their capabilities, services, and competitive advantages.
  • Attend client meetings, industry exhibitions, and networking events to expand market reach.
Project Handling & Coordination
  • Manage the full cycle of repair and conversion enquiries, from initial lead to project confirmation.
  • Review and assess technical specifications and budgets, with internal technical support when required.
  • Ensure effective communication between clients and shipyard partners to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate tracking and follow-up of all active and prospective projects.
Market Insight & Business Growth
  • Identify market trends and opportunities for business expansion.
  • Support the promotion of the company’s wider maritime services portfolio.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions around client development and service positioning.
About You

We are seeking a confident, professional, and self-motivated individual who thrives in a client-facing commercial environment. The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • A background in the maritime industry, preferably within ship repair, technical services, or commercial representation.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with Greek or international shipowners and managers is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as part of client and shipyard visits.
A degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Maritime Studies would be an advantage, as would prior sales or brokerage experience within the shipping or shipyard sector.
