Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design and analysis for various subsea equipment deployed from client vessels, including production systems, lifting tools, and ROVs.
- Perform complex structural calculations using industry-standard software packages.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Collaborate seamlessly with naval architects and other engineers to ensure smooth equipment integration with the client's vessels.
- Conduct and review finite element analysis (FEA) models to assess structural behaviour under diverse operating conditions, including fatigue and extreme loads.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to evaluate equipment condition and identify potential issues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new design standards and procedures for subsea equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related field
- Strong experience in structural engineering within the marine or offshore energy environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in the use of industry-standard structural analysis software such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, STAAD Pro / FS2000 / ANSYS or similar software
