Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on vessels to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with vessel crews to develop and implement effective safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.
- Provide safety training to crew members, emphasizing the importance of best practices and emergency response procedures.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, and ensure continuous compliance.
- Develop and maintain safety documentation, including manuals and reports.
- Act as a liaison between vessel crews and onshore management to address safety concerns and implement improvements.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and exercises to enhance the preparedness of the vessel crews.
Requirements
- Experience ashore in similar safety or HSEQ role within either the dry bulk or tanker sectors.
- Seagoing experience on similar vessel types would be ideal.
- Strong understanding of the industry standards within this sector.
- A proactive attitude with an eagerness to be part of a growing business.
