We seek a proficient Risk Manager - Legal Counsel to enrich our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Risk Management.

As a part of this role, you'll work closely with technical and commercial teams, assisting in the resolution of liability disputes, charter party disputes, and property claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Skillfully manage P&I and HM claims, ensuring transparency and harmonious collaboration with insurers.
- Resolve commercial FDD disputes while nurturing positive relationships with charters and safeguarding owners' interests.
- Effectively liaise with P&I clubs, Hull insurers, and legal entities to achieve favourable outcomes for incidents.
- Monitor and assess claims experience to drive continual enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to proactively address claims and mitigate losses.
- Accurately document all claims, above and below deductibles, utilizing designated systems.
- Provide support in handling various insurance claims, including D&O, property, and onshore liabilities.
- Assist in analysing and renewing insurance policies based on operational needs and claims experience.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Hold an LMM degree or similar qualification, with a preference for qualified lawyer.
- Demonstrated proficiency in claims management and insurance.
- Thorough comprehension of insurance products, policies, and market dynamics, especially within hull, P&I, loss of hire, and related insurances.
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving acumen to address intricate cases and formulate effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills essential for cultivating strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of regulatory obligations and compliance standards.
