Faststream has entered into a partnership with the A&P Group, a globally recognised ship repair & conversion specialist, to assist them in attracting the very best talent for their yards in the North East of the UK, Tyne & Tees.
For the Tyne yard, we are in search of 2 Quality Engineers who will support the Quality Manager to ensure that project quality standards are maintained and improved, ensuring compliance of stipulated procedures and process utilised in the manufacturing processes. The Quality Engineer will review client intellectual property to determine quality requirements, i.e. material grade(s), welding processes, NDE requirements, intervention points, acceptance criteria, verifying records and any stipulated intervention points for client and other interested parties.
We are looking for an Quality Engineer with extensive inspection experience with a keen eye for identifying quality concerns. You will be used to recording non-conformances, determining root cause and verifying corrective actions when required. Report writing will be a key weapon in your arsenal, compiling status reports on inspections, ITP, progress etc
