Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Aberdeen
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering various scopes of work including engineering, project management, procurement, fabrication, and offshore execution. The candidate will be accountable for ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of projects, while adhering to company standards and client requirements. There is also an opportunity to work on renewable projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define the strategy and scope of work, develop plans, budgets, and monitor progress.
• Develop installation concepts, prepare installation procedures, any related drawings, and supporting documents.
• Support procurement and manage suppliers, including the preparation of RFQ/ITB, technical evaluation of bids, and supplier deliveries from award to project closeout.
• Prepare deck equipment layouts and seafastening design calculations.
• Co-ordinate mobilisation operations with vessel, logistics, seafastening subcontractor, testing, and pre-commissioning subcontractor.
• Liaise with clients, offshore construction managers, vessel masters, subcontractors, and other project engineers to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Prepare ITT and provide technical support for the commercial and technical assessment of proposals received.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Extensive experience in project management, procurement, fabrication, and offshore execution.
• Knowledge of various scopes of work including Flexible Riser Removal & Installation, Umbilical Installation, Control Jumper Hook-Up & Testing, Manifold Fabrication / Structure Installation, Rigid Spools and Flexible Tie-ins, Pigging & Flushing Ops, System Leak Testing, Dewatering Operations, Commissioning Support, Topside Support, Deconstruction & IRM works.
• Experience in risk management and QHSE considerations.
• Proficient in the use of project management tools such as MS Project and Primavera.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
