We’re looking for an experienced recruiter to take the lead on one of our most established desks, focused on mid-to-senior level permanent hiring across the technical or commercial shipping space. You’ll manage exclusive, contingent, and retained roles with leading maritime businesses and build long-term partnerships in one of the most vital and global industries in the world.

You’ll step into a warm desk with a strong track record, high potential, and loyal clients who value partnership over transactions. This is your chance to grow a profitable desk with the backing of a trusted brand and a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering contingent, exclusive, and retained recruitment assignments in the shipping sector

  • Recruiting for mid-to-senior level roles in technical or commercial disciplines

  • Managing and growing relationships with new and existing clients globally

  • Owning the full recruitment cycle: job briefing, search, candidate engagement, interviews, offer management

  • Positioning yourself as a trusted industry expert — not just another recruiter

What We're Looking for

  • Full-Cycle/360 recruitment experience, from any industry

  • A proven track record of placing permanent, professional candidates

  • Confidence in managing exclusive and senior assignments

  • Commercial awareness and a consultative, client-first mindset

  • Ambition to grow a successful, high-reward desk in a specialist industry

What We Offer

  • Total reward of circa £80,000 in year 1 (base + uncapped commission)
