In this role, you'll be a vital part of our Operations team, reporting to Team Leads and the Regional Head of Oil Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations on trading desks.
- Coordinate all aspects of physical trading book activity to ensure safe and cost-effective execution.
- Assess operational and business risks, reporting to management for mitigation.
- Optimize trader strategies by leveraging product movement knowledge and external relationships.
- Report relevant information to Team Leads and Regional Head on a daily basis.
- Review product movement reconciliations and contribute to Loss Control investigations.
- Develop expertise in assessing risks in non-standard contracts, new regions, and long-term tenders.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Team Leads and Regional Head.
Attributes:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in vessel cargo operations.
- Ability to interact with ports/terminals, agents, cargo inspectors, vetting, chartering, and ship shore compatibility.
- Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin languages for effective communication.
- Strong desire to acquire new knowledge and skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player with effective collaboration and adaptability in dynamic circumstances.
