Faststream are working with an offshore operator known for its innovative approach to offshore decommissioning to add an Offshore Decommissioning Engineer to their team on a 3 on 3 off rotation. This is a unique opportunity to join a technically driven project from the ground up and contribute to a forward-thinking offshore team. The Offshore Decommissioning Engineer will be a key member of the offshore execution team, supporting the Offshore Project Superintendent. This role involves hands-on engineering, documentation, and coordination of offshore activities to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain preliminary lift plans. 
  • Draft method statements, job cards, and manage changes offshore.
  • Oversee deck layout, clash checks (2D/3D), and logistics coordination.
  • Monitor subcontractor engineering, material condition, and consumables.
  • Conduct hands-on verification of tools and materials, ensuring readiness.
  • Proactively identify and report construction issues impacting progress.
  • Initial focus on equipment integration and commissioning of a new jack-up unit.
  • Early campaigns include jacket removals in the UK North Sea with future projects expanding to topsides and large-scale decommissioning from 2026 onward.
Experience:
  • Strong experience within offshore decommissioning
  • Experience within heavy lifting
  • Ability to work 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation
  • Must have right to work in the EU or UK
