Job Description

We are supporting an independent offshore engineering consultancy with their search for a Naval Architect. They seek someone with extensive experience in the offshore industry, particularly in the design and analysis of offshore structures and vessels. The successful candidate will have a strong background in naval architecture and be a confident user of OrcaFlex software.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze offshore structures and vessels
  • Develop hydrodynamic and structural models using OrcaFlex software
  • Conduct dynamic and static analyses of offshore structures and vessels
  • Perform load and stress calculations, stability analysis, and fatigue assessment
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Participate in project reviews and progress meetings
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in the offshore industry
  • Strong background in hydrodynamics, structural analysis, and stability
  • Proficiency in OrcaFlex software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel as required
