Job Summary:
As a Naval Application Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with industry partners, architects, and designers to integrate our supplied equipment into their vessel designs. This pivotal role ensures that our partners are not only aware of our current marine products but also informed about our future developments. You will work closely with internal teams to influence ship design activities, identify the most suitable solutions, and ensure they align with vessel design criteria and requirements.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with internal teams to influence new ship design activities
- Act as a design partner, identifying and developing the right solutions to meet ship requirements
- Influence power systems specifications during the concept study and preliminary design phases
- Incorporate commercial aspects into technical decision-making processes
- Develop propulsion and power generation solutions to meet stringent ship requirements
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Collaborate with product development teams on new technologies and performance requirements
- Customer Focus: Ability to align customer needs with business decisions and create customized solutions
- Effective Communications: Proficiency in transmitting and interpreting ideas, information, and needs effectively
- Relationship Management: Skills to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers
