Faststream is representing an international ship management company in the search for a Marine Superintendent (Tnaker Fleet) to join their expanding Singapore office.

The Role

As a Marine Superintendent (Tanker Fleet), you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the managed tanker fleet. You will oversee navigational standards, cargo operations, audits, and regulatory compliance to ensure vessels meet company, flag state, and international requirements at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and operational support to Masters and crews to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with international regulations, flag state requirements, and company policies.
  • Conduct vessel visits, internal audits, and incident investigations.
  • Oversee readiness for port state, vetting, and third-party inspections.
  • Support Masters in maintaining high standards of navigation, cargo handling, and environmental protection.
  • Promote and embed a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the fleet.
  • Identify training needs and provide mentorship or guidance where required.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of operational procedures and management systems.
  • Participate in officer assessments and promotion interviews for senior deck ranks.
  • Able to commit to approx 200 days travel in a year.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Master Mariner (Class 1) with a minimum of 2 years of command experience.
  • Proven experience managing wet fleet/tanker operations from shore-based roles.
  • Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry standards.
  • Experienced in internal auditing, incident investigation, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Based in Singapore or open to relocation.
