Role Overview The Offshore Marine Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of assigned offshore support vessels. You will act as the primary operational link between vessel crews and the onshore team, providing direction, support, and oversight on a daily basis. The role requires a proactive and hands-on approach, with regular vessel visits both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and support daily vessel operations to ensure safe, compliant and effective performance
  • Provide guidance to Masters and crew on navigational and marine operational matters
  • Oversee compliance with flag state, class, company SMS, and international maritime regulations
  • Participate in incident investigations and lead corrective action processes
  • Conduct vessel visits, audits, and on-board inspections
  • Coordinate DP capability, drills, training and competence development when applicable
  • Support planning for dry docks, maintenance periods and project mobilisations
  • Liaise closely with charterers, port authorities, and operational stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in safety culture and operational standards
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience as a Marine Superintendent OR sea-going experience as Master / Chief Officer on offshore support vessels (AHTS, PSV, SOV, ERRV, Walk-to-Work, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and modern vessel operational standards
  • Experience with dynamic positioning (DP) operations beneficial
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, able to work effectively with multinational crews
  • Ability to travel internationally to vessels and project sites as required
  • Fluent English required; German language advantageous but not essential
