Job Description

We are supporting a well-established ship management organisation that is expanding its specialised vessels portfolio and is looking to appoint a dedicated Marine Superintendent to be based in their Shanghai office.

This is a newly created role, introduced as the fleet grows beyond its current Multi-Purpose Project (MPP) vessel coverage. The successful hire will take ownership of marine operations for specialised and project vessels, with further additions expected in the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the safe and compliant marine operations of specialised vessels
  • Ensure adherence to international regulations, including EU, UK, and Australian maritime legislation
  • Provide marine guidance and operational support to vessels trading internationally
  • Act as the key shore-based point of contact for Masters and onboard teams
  • Support audits, inspections, incident reviews, and operational best practices
Requirements
  • Master Mariner / Master sailing rank
  • Sailing experience on international trades 
  • Background operating MPP / Heavy Lift vessels (essential)
  • Exposure to Semi-Submersible or SPMT operations is highly advantageous
  • Fresh sailors are welcome to apply
  • Chinese national, fluent in Mandarin with working / average English
