Marine Superintendent

Faststream is exclusively supporting a leading vessel owner and operator, who are currently going through an exciting period of growth, expansion and renewal of their fleet. Our client is looking to hire a UK based Deck Officer wanting to transition ashore, and become a Marine Superintendent.

In this role, you will be responsible for the day today planning, supervision and management of the operation of the fleet of vessels. You will be responsible for ensuring the vessels are operating safely and efficiently. You will be required to deputise for the Operations manager when required, as well as carried out vessel inspections and audits, assist with crewing of the vessels, monitor vessel performance, as well as carrying out training for the on board crew amongst various other duties.

The ideal candidate will have: -

Deep sea sailing experience as a Deck Officer
Chief Officer or Master Unlimited CoC
Shore based experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential
Be prepared to attend 6 months training on the Humber (accommodation supplied Monday - Friday)
Ability to travel within the UK regularly
Hold a valid driving license
