Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the day-to-day operation of the bulk carriers, ensuring compliance with all applicable international and local regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Manage and oversee vessel maintenance and repair, including dry-docking and repairs at shipyards.
- Provide guidance and support to the shipboard teams, ensuring their compliance with company policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Monitor vessel performance, including fuel efficiency, and develop strategies for improvement.
- Conduct vessel inspections and surveys, identifying and addressing any issues related to safety, security, and environmental compliance.
- Provide technical advice and support to other departments within the company, including commercial and operations teams.
- Maintain accurate records of vessel maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Sailed as Chief Officer or Master on Dry cargo Vessels
- Experience as a Marine Superintendent, preferably in the bulk carrier shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of international and local regulations related to bulk carrier operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with vessel maintenance and repair processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and vessel management software.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
