The Role

Do you have a strong sales background with technical expertise in the maritime, mechanical, or engineering sectors? We are working with a global leading OEM in advanced monitoring technologies, delivering smart solutions that enable vessels to operate more efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

We’re seeking a commercially minded individual with a balance of technical understanding and relationship-building skills, for the role of Marine Sales Engineer. To succeed, you’ll need to be an engaging communicator, confident in translating complex technical needs into practical solutions, and self-motivated in driving business growth.
  
Responsibilities
  • Deliver against agreed sales targets to support overall business objectives.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues within the sales team to speed up opportunity conversion.
  • Understand customer challenges and design bespoke solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Lead initial conversations with clients to identify monitoring requirements and integration with onboard systems.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of prospective and existing customers across key revenue streams.
  • Represent the company at global trade shows and maritime industry events.
  
Requirements
  • Proven track record of selling into the maritime sector.
  • Experience selling electrical or mechanical equipment to maritime clients.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Fundamental electrical engineering knowledge.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with a willingness to travel internationally.
  • Ideally, a degree or professional qualification in engineering.
  • Previous managerial experience would be an advantage.
