This role will suit an individual with a strong background in Marine HR strategy and change management, capable of delivering practical, long-term solutions to optimize operational performance and support future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Review existing Marine HR and crewing functions to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate current agreements with manning service providers and support in negotiating and executing new partnerships where required.
- Assess employment practices, global crewing models, and compliance frameworks in line with international maritime regulations.
- Review rostering procedures, remuneration structures, and competency management systems to align with best industry practices.
- Present strategic recommendations and implementation roadmaps to senior management.
- Engage with stakeholders across fleet, shore teams, and service partners to ensure alignment and operational readiness.
- Enhance HR systems and processes to improve analytics, reporting, and overall efficiency.
- Proven experience in a senior Marine HR, Crewing, or related leadership role within the maritime industry.
- Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, restructuring, and change management.
- Strong knowledge of international employment and manning legislation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with digital HR or crew management systems is advantageous.
- Relevant HR or Crewing qualifications (e.g. CIPD or equivalent).
