We have a new opportunity for a Marine Application Support Analyst to join Aurora | Northern Marine Group
Reporting to: Product & Service Delivery Manager
Location: Glasgow
Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of digitalisation within a fast evolving technology environment. As a Marine Application Support Analyst, you will support, develop and maintain the Aurora suite of digital products used to manage and monitor operational and asset data. Working closely with clients and internal teams, you will ensure systems are accurate, effective and aligned with operational requirements. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering exposure to new and changing technology alongside involvement in system support, development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required skill set and experience:
HND or Degree in a relevant discipline
Experience supporting and maintaining fleet management or operational systems
Experience gathering requirements, process mapping and translating user needs into development actions
Ability to collect, validate, manipulate and analyse operational and asset data, including reporting (Power BI desirable)
Experience within a marine, maritime or offshore environment
Knowledge of business process mapping tools such as Visio or Promapp
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe packages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proactive problem solving approach and ability to work independently
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, stakeholders and clients
Sailing experience to minimum third or fourth rank (vessel type un-essential)
