Faststream Executive Search has partnered with a growing international technical services company seeking a commercially driven Managing Director to lead and expand its operations in Qatar.
This role will lead a small but established local team and take full responsibility for driving business growth, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring high-quality operational delivery. The business provides specialist engineering, repair and maintenance services to clients across the marine, energy and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the company’s growth strategy in Qatar.
- Drive business development with key clients including EPC contractors, ship owners and energy operators.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners in the region.
- Oversee operational performance, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Manage the local team and develop a high-performance culture.
- Take full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Senior leadership experience within technical services, marine, oil & gas, or industrial engineering environments.
- Strong commercial track record in business development and winning service contracts.
- Experience managing operational delivery within project-based or service businesses.
- Proven P&L responsibility.
- Strong networks across the Qatar energy, marine or offshore ecosystem would be required.
- Fluent English required; Arabic would be beneficial but not essential.
