Position Overview
An international trading and logistics organization is seeking a KYC Analyst to join its regional compliance function in Asia. This role is a critical part of the due diligence team and will be responsible for executing Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures to support the firm’s operations across multiple countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The position will serve as the main point of contact for KYC and due diligence matters across several regional offices and will collaborate closely with global compliance colleagues to ensure consistent standards and practices.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out due diligence processes during onboarding, periodic reviews, and trigger event reviews of counterparties.
  • Perform screening for sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and adverse media, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Collect, assess, and verify KYC documentation and information according to internal standards.
  • Clearly document any deviations from standard documentation, outlining identified risks and appropriate mitigations.
  • Take ownership of assigned cases, managing them from initiation through resolution in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Engage directly with front office and management teams to resolve KYC-related questions or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of due diligence assessments and conclusions.
  • Support broader compliance initiatives as requested by the regional and global KYC leadership.
  • Collaborate with a globally distributed compliance team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a due diligence, KYC, or compliance-related role.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk-based approaches to customer onboarding and review.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including comfort engaging with front office and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software tools.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred due to the regional client base.
