Role: Head of Operations - LNG
Location: Doha
Focus: LNG Fleet Operations Leadership and Assurance
The Company
A major organisation with a world class LNG fleet is strengthening its senior leadership structure as it enters a significant growth phase. The business is investing heavily in new tonnage and enhancing its operational capability. This role sits at the heart of that expansion and offers genuine long term scope, influence and visibility at executive level.
The Role
You will lead the full operational performance of a growing LNG fleet and manage a team of highly capable Marine Operations Superintendents. Your remit will span safe operations, navigational assurance, cargo excellence, SIRE 2.0 compliance, incident investigation, charterer interface, terminal approval processes and continuous improvement across vessel operations.
You will provide strategic leadership at head office level, ensuring that operational standards, safety processes and fleet readiness consistently meet the expectations of charterers, terminals and internal stakeholders. You will guide your team through day to day challenges, elevate decision making and maintain a strong link between vessels, shore teams and senior management.
As new vessels join the fleet you will oversee a significant increase in both team size and operational footprint. The remit is expected to double in scale as deliveries continue, offering a clear pathway for further leadership development and organisational impact.
About You
You offer a minimum of twelve years of maritime industry experience with at least three years as Master on LNG vessels. You have at least four years in a head office management role with a recognised organisation and a minimum of two years in a similar senior operations position.
You have previously managed and developed Marine Operations Superintendents and bring four to five years of your own hands on superintendent experience within LNG operations.
You bring maturity, strong communication skills and the ability to influence diverse internal and external stakeholders. You are calm under pressure and capable of guiding a team through complex operational issues.
Your technical background is strong and current, with practical experience in incident investigation, SIRE 2.0 preparation, charterer engagement, terminal clearance and subject matter expertise in LNG and LPG cargo operations and navigational matters.
