Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead and develop our Technical Departments, covering Diesel, In-situ, Fuel, and Internal Support operations. This is a leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, developing talent, and delivering profitable and high-quality technical services to our customers.

You will work closely with the Managing Director and departmental managers, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing budgets and P&L, and setting long-term strategies to strengthen both technical and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all Technical Departments, ensuring efficient daily operations.
  • Drive department P&L performance and ensure alignment with company budgets and targets.
  • Formulate objectives, KPIs, and action plans to improve both technical and commercial outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop technical staff, including training and succession planning.
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings, tracking performance and implementing corrective actions where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, OHS, risk management, and environmental standards.
  • Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of repair and service work, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost control.
  • Implement ERP systems for job and cost control, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Occasionally perform on-site inspections, provide technical advice, and review solutions for clients.
  • Collaborate with other business units to align best practices and deliver customer value.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in the Marine or Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and ability to read production drawings.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills with ability to train technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP knowledge a plus.
  • Fluent in English with strong report-writing and communication skills.
  • Analytical, structured, and solutions-oriented, with excellent planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to motivate, guide, and manage teams effectively.
