Job Title: General Manager - Maritime Operations

Location: Philippines

Role and Responsibilities:

Overall Direction and Purpose:
  • Lead the country organization to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure integrated teamwork across functions, onshore, and offshore.
  • Promote a unified approach to customer focus and operational excellence.
  • Deliver high value to owners and customers through safe, reliable, and cost-effective services.
  • Establish Company as a credible partner for people development and improvement of the seafaring community in the Philippines.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer needs and fulfilling contractual obligations.
General Area of Responsibility:
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate business and operational strategies.
  • Manage financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and authorities.
  • Promote safety and security as a competitive advantage.

Specific Area of Responsibility:

Organisation & People Leadership:
  • Lead and develop the onshore and offshore organization.
  • Coach and mentor staff to build organizational capability.
  • Drive the organization towards customer-focused solutions and revenue growth.
  • Set objectives and KPIs.
  • Organize daily work according to principles of daily management.
  • Ensure adherence to guidelines, authorities, and policies.
  • Implement improvements based on surveys.
  • Promote an industry-leading safety culture.
Business Leadership:
  • Drive cost efficiency.
  • Manage maintenance and repair costs.
  • Implement best practice standards.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain financial transparency.
  • Ensure vessels are manned and equipped according to standards.
  • Collaborate across functions.
  • Generate followership.
Joint Venture (JV) Management:
  • Set strategic direction.
  • Ensure adherence to governance structure.
  • Build positive relationships with JV partners and stakeholders.
Business Development:
  • Develop and maintain commercial strategy.
  • Maintain market intelligence.
  • Identify and develop commercial opportunities.
  • Develop customer relationships.
  • Support commercial discussions.
  • Develop strong networks.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • More than 10 years of experience in senior commercial/general management roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or Masters of Business Administration.
  • Extensive customer engagement experience.
  • Experience in a complex global matrix.
  • Operational knowledge of ASD tugs and towage, preferably in LNG.
