Role Overview:
Lead the technical team managing vessels and ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations in line with legal, regulatory, and company standards. You will oversee maintenance, compliance, audits, budgets, and continuous improvement, while upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the technical team, ensuring vessels/FABs are compliant, well-maintained, and safely operated
- Manage vessel/FAB certification, audits (internal, external, client), and statutory requirements
- Oversee maintenance schedules, dry dockings, repair works, and spares inventory
- Compile, manage, and review vessel operating budgets in conjunction with Fleet Manager (Operations)
- Approve major repairs, upgrades, and cost-benefit analyses for executive review
- Ensure adequate staffing, training, and inductions for crew and technical staff
- Monitor vessel performance through inspections, reports, and performance reviews
- Support emergency response when required
- Promote and enforce Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards across all activities
- Class 1 Marine Engineer with 10+ years’ senior experience (onshore & offshore)
